A lawyer will or may have encountered cases of wrongful accusations in their entire career, and believe me, this is something that’s not to be taken lightly. If you think that getting blamed by your mother for something that your brother did was bad, it’s going to be more terrible if you get blamed for someone else’s crime. Believe it or not, there are people who take the fall for the fault of others. Innocent people go to jail every day and they don’t even have the means to prove their innocence anymore because the courts have already sealed the case. I remember a story that I read on the Internet wherein a person was wrongfully convicted and his innocence was proven 12 years after his sentencing. The case was reopened due to a fresh set of eyes looking in and he was absolved. But he already lost the 12 years of his life and the record of being a convict cannot be erased. Thankfully, he lived in a town wherein people knew him by heart and he was accepted back with open arms. But what about those who spend more than 12 years in prison for being wrongfully accused?
